Are looking for a way to safely improve mobility and flexibility.

Want to continue a yoga practice while recovering from an injury.

Want to continue with meditation and breath awareness practices from a chair

Want to learn some meditation and breath  awareness practices that can help promote mindfulness and reduce stress.

August Newsletter

 Hello All,

As I start my summer break, I wanted to write an update on classes for the Autumn term.

Classes will still run with reduced numbers for the Autumn, I will initially look at booking classes to similar numbers I have been so far this year and may increase this a little if things start to look better. 

All classes will continue on Zoom as well at least until Christmas and the registration links have been updated under Online Classes. 

My Covid-19 guidance will stay in place while infection rates are high, distancing, masks worn when not on your mat, booking necessary, good ventilation and asking you not to attend if unwell.

Booking links for all the classes will be sent out soon, the links will go to class regulars first to give them the chance to book on. They will then be sent out more widely with any available spaces mid-August. Booking is still essential for all classes.

Tuesday Evening Yoga (Full 90-minute class)

This class continues to get fully booked, so please let me know if you don’t currently come on a Tuesday and would like a space on my waiting list.

Yoga Therapy at Mother Nature Sanctuary

YWD (yoga with deborah) Yoga Therapy at Mother Nature Sanctuary

After Easter I will be able to offer 1-1 Yoga Therapy sessions at MNS

I will have some availability for appointments on Thursday, Friday and occasionally Saturday mornings.

“Yoga therapy is the professional application of the principles and 
practices of yoga to promote health and well-being within a therapeutic 
relationship that includes personalized assessment, goal setting, lifestyle 
management and yoga practices for individuals or small groups.” IAYT 
(International Association of Yoga Therapists definition)

Yoga Therapy may be used to: reduce symptoms of illness or injury, establish 
more functional breath and movement patterns, reduce physical and mental 
suffering, improve quality of life and enhance positive coping strategies.

What to expect in a Yoga Therapy Session:
In Yoga therapy we start by gathering information to establish your need for 
Yoga Therapy and goals for practice. This is done with an intake/health form 
filled in prior to the first session, then in the first session an 
interview, posture, movement and breath assessments. From the assessments 
and interview a practice is created for you which will be taught to you 
in session, also providing you with a drawn practice sheet to follow at home. 
In following sessions we would assess how the practice is working for you 
adjusting /changing elements to further move you toward you goals.

YWD Class Update 19th March

 Hi All,

I have just added dates to the classes to take us up until the end of May (and half term).  

Tuesday Evening Yoga 7.30pm - 9pm
23rd February - 30th March
19th April - 25th May

Thursday Evening Yoga 7pm - 8.30pm
25th February - 1st April
22nd April - 27th May

Friday Afternoon Yoga 1.30pm - 2.45pm
26th February - 2nd April
16th April - 28th May

These are all online only classes at the moment, but I am hoping that from the 17th May I can resume in room sessions which may get us back into class for the last two weeks of these dates. The classes will continue on zoom as well if this happens.

After the May half term from June 7th I hope to be able to offer a block of in room and zoom blended classes to take us up to the August brake.

I will email people about the in room classes closer to the time and after I have had confirmation to resume from my venues.

YWD Class Update

Hi all,

As you will be aware I don’t know yet when in room classes may be able to start so all classes for the time being will be Zoom only.

I will mail out as soon as I know anything but I am assuming it may be after Easter, I understand that some people will still prefer to practice online for quite some time so I will be continuing with the zoom and room format after things start to open up.

All classes are on as usual next week then Zoom classes will take a break for half term so there will be no classes on Tuesday 16th and Thursday 18th February but I will be doing a special Friday class on the 19th February which will include a seasonal Yoga Nidra to celebrate the very beginnings of spring time.

Please bring a small piece of dark chocolate, a bit of crystallised ginger, or an aromatherapy oil you like to enliven your senses after the Yoga Nidra and most importantly have enough blankets and pillows to make yourself supper supper comfortable on the floor.
